Weather can be very impressive here at Windy Apple Farms, as the name suggests. Today it was not the wind speed that was startling, but the rapid change in the weather. Sitting up here on the side of our hill we have an almost 270° view, from North-East to South-East. We were expecting a cold front to move through today and I was lucky enough to be standing up at our garden plot to watch and feel it come through. Our weather station also did a great job of catching this precipitous change in the weather.
At 16:40 I noticed the wall of clouds moving in from the North and brought out the camera, it was 57°F and almost no wind, but by 16:45 when I started filming, the cloud had filled the valley and was blocking my view to the north and northwest. A minute later the wall of clouds, wind and cold rain hit our hill. By the time I got inside, the temperature had fallen over ten degrees and kept dropping.
